FBI Hunts for Violent Bank Robber
Friday, February 5, 2010 at 6:24PM "Trench Coat Bandit" is Considered Extremely Dangerous
BOSTON, MA—On Monday, January 25, 2010, at approximately 3:49 p.m., a lone white male robbed the Citizens Bank located at 371 Hancock Street, Quincy, Massachusetts. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking the public’s assistance to help identify the individual, dubbed the “Trench Coat Bandit,” believed responsible for the robbery.
CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS
During the robbery, the subject brandished a gray/silver revolver and ordered everyone in the bank onto the floor. He ordered all bank employees to climb over the teller counter and lay flat on the floor. At one point, he stuck his handgun into an employee's back to push them along. With everyone on the floor, he robbed all the teller stations. The subject then fled the bank on foot.
Witnesses described the subject as:
- Race/Gender: White/Male
- Age: 40-45 years of age
- Height: 6’01” - 6’02”
- Weight: 180 lbs
- Clothing: Dark winter hat with Red Sox “B” and dark nylon face covering, dark knee-length trench coat with light brown coat underneath, dark pants, black boots, black gloves, black umbrella.
